Reflecting a commendable legacy of more than six decades, TKM College of Engineering has evolved as a major centre for engineering education, research, and professional development in Kerala.
The foundation stone was laid in 1956 by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of independent India, and the college was formally inaugurated on July 3, 1958 by Prof. Humayun Kabir.
Janab A. Thangal Kunju Musaliar
In 1950, while at the peak of his business career, Thangal Kunju Musaliar foresaw the tremendous importance of education. This vision led to the formation of the TKM Educational Trust in 1956 and the establishment of TKM College of Engineering.
Today, the trust continues to uphold his values through a network of institutions including TKM College of Arts and Sciences, TKM Institute of Technology, TKM Institute of Management, TKM School of Architecture, and other centres of learning.
