The Department of Civil Engineering took its genesis in 1958 and has grown into a dynamic academic and research centre with undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes.

Department Profile

Teaching, research, and professional service

The department offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes, and was awarded academic autonomy by the University Grants Commission from 2022.

It supports research activities funded by AICTE, TEQIP, the Institution of Engineers (India), KSCSTE, and CERD. The department also serves the profession and community through testing, consultancy, and expert support.
